Redesign of the chapel room of the student evangelical community in Würzburg in a team of two people. The challenge was to change an existing room in such a way that it can be used for church services, music rehearsals and as a place of retreat at the same time.
The main motive of the design is the spiral, which represents the cross in the Christian religion and stands in a spiritual sense for the return to oneself. The spiral shape is implemented in a seat made of pine plywood, which uses the entire surface of the room. Through gradations in the height of the seating furniture, the room is divided into different levels of use without visually reducing its size. My tasks in this project were research, design in the form of sketches, model making and digital visualization.
